On September 22nd, our Chair fellow, Prof. Fr. Joseph Tham, LC, will participate as a debater in the conference “The Future of Modern Agriculture Conference (FMA)” which is organized by the Institute on Science for Global Policy (ISGP).
The ISGP/FMA program is organized and convened by the ISGP with support from the U.S. Department of State in coordination with its U.S. Mission to the United Nations Agencies in Rome (i.e., FAO, WFP, IFAD). This invitation-only conference seeks to engage stakeholders and subject-matter experts from governmental, private sector, and third sector communities involved in global food and agricultural systems to examine how scientific and technological innovations are changing modern agriculture. Specifically, the theme addresses the impact of emerging technologies and traditional approaches, often rooted in cultural knowledge and agro-ecological methods, on global objectives, including the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
