The Workshop takes place on June 25 and 26, within the General Assembly of the Pontifical Academy for Life coordinated by the research group on ‘Consciousness, Neuroscience and Ethics’ together with prof. Robert J. Buchanan and Chair Fellow Prof. Alberto Carrara. The main topic of the workshop is Global Bioethics – A Global Responsibility.
An ethic of the person and of the people who is also, necessarily, an ethic of responsibility for the environment in which human beings live and which will deliver to future generations. “The human being is a creature of this world” – writes Pope Francis in Laudato si ‘- and for this reason “we can not fail to consider the effects of environmental degradation, the current model of development and the culture of the gap on the life of people”.
